Already at the entrance to the Villa Vlastelini estate which is located at the Santo Spirito site, we realize that we are in a place that will give us exactly that kind of relaxation. Greenery supremely rains, in its most beautiful and natural shades, and scattered details of stone, through roads, walls and buildings faithfully based on the tradition of rural Istria, only add to the exquisite, almost perfect colours.

Being close and feeling far – priceless! Especially when it comes to a place chosen for a vacation. Closeness of retailers and facilities, good traffic connections and a small distance from the urban centre are certainly desirable, especially if you are on a family holiday with children.
On the other hand, the true relaxation is only possible with the feeling of intimacy, discretion and mild isolation from modern civilization and busy everyday life. Villa Flacius, an autonomous country estate close to the old town of Labin, is where both desires meet.
It is a great advantage as well as additional security that the owner\’s residence is located just by the estate. Of course, separate entrance, access road and fence guarantee full discretion.
The estate is located on nearly 20,000 square meters of carefully landscaped grounds, and it contains almost all the natural benefits of rural Istria – a mini farm with domestic animals, orchards and vegetable garden, from which the guests can consume ecologically grown fruits, an outdoor fireplace with a grill and numerous recreational facilities such as tennis courts, swimming pools, golf course and trekking paths.
Arriving at the house, we pass through an unique stone path made of carved Glagolitic alphabet, an ancient Slavic script used in Istria until the 19th century.

Accommodation
The old family house was given complete renovation and renaissance of style a few years ago, when it was customized to the ultimate detail for high-level holidaymakers, with a measured dose of luxury and unique aesthetic solutions in almost every corner. The impressive living room is aimed at enjoyment as much as at relaxation, while each dormitory has its own little legend – regardless if we are talking about Flacius, the famous reformer from the 16th century and the forefather of this proud family, about the Holy Spirit after whom this region was named, about Vlastelini as family lineage or Dorsi, a romantic corner with a view of the rising sun.

Bedrooms
Villa Flacius has a total of 4 bedrooms.
Every area in the Villa has its own personality – including the rooms, which have their own names. On the ground floor is room Vlastelini, whose name was inspired by the old nickname of Vlačić family. It is dominated by subtle elegance, tailored from bright, warm tones that emphasize the sense of comfort.
On the floor is room Flacius – inspired by the Latin variant of the surname Vlačić, which was made known by the famous ancestor Ilirik, it brings playful colours of love and the atmosphere in which the spirits of Amor and Eros are interwoven.
Next to it is room Dorsi, the most daringly decorated room in the house, with accentuated romance supported by a terrace with a beautiful view of the estate gardens and the sunrise.
Sveti Duh, a room named after \”Santo Spirito\”, the original name of the microlocation of the estate. It is open towards its southern part, with a terrace overlooking the swimming pool and sunbathing area, and a tennis court next to the forest which surrounds the estate.
Kitchen and dinning room
Classic full wood kitchen in the colour of vanilla equipped with all the necessary kitchen appliances will provide you the pleasure of preparing meals from freshly picked groceries from our own garden, and a large massive wooden table with 10-person wooden chairs will provide you enjoyment of joint meals and socializing at the table.

Living room
The daily part which is characterized by cleanliness of lines, simplicity and modernity, is located next to a large modern stone fireplace, intended for relaxing with a book, fire from the fireplace, watching TV or movies on DVD and listening to music. The living room was refined by works of local academy painters confirming the authentic story of Labin, a place where many artists sought refuge and inspiration.

Tavern
During cooler nights, we suggest socializing next to the fire of a classic fireplace in the tavern next to the pool and the terrace. Here, in the relaxing, informal atmosphere of an authentic, rustic ambience of Istrian tavern with a fireplace, you can enjoy the preparation of meals, relaxation and socializing with a glass of wine.

Covered terrace with swimming pool
Large covered terrace with elegant garden furnishings, located in the shade of a century-old oak tree, is located right next to an attractive pool that is naturally flowing, like a waterfall, along one side
Open fireplace with grill
Below the covered terrace, in its corner next to the swimming pool, there is an open stone fireplace for barbecues. This arrangement allows for a continuous stay as well for outdoor dining.
Bio & zoo corner
The gentry estate has always had its own organic garden from which the owner of the estate picked fresh vegetables. Today, this garden is fully available to the guests of the Villa, and fresh and delicious, ecologically grown and freshly picked vegetables are a desirable ingredient for preparing meals in the kitchen or on the grill of the holiday house, with the top choice of unavoidable Mediterranean herbs. Throughout the year, seasonal fruits can be harvested in the orchard, and the whole variety of fruit will satisfy everyone\’s desires: As soon as the spring cherry are picked, pears, apples and plums begin to mature, the late summer brings figs and grapes and in autumn mature persimmon and kiwi.
Zoo park
In the farm part of the estate, there are chickens, turkeys, conies, sheep, a few cats and proud guardian dogs (dogs are in the fenced area).

NOTE: Pool heating loses efficiency if the outside night temperature drops below 15 degree.
